Achintya Bezbaruah a graduatre frpom CED – AEC and Ex-faculty
Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at North Dakota State University (NDSU, Fargo,
ND, www.ndsu.edu)
At NDSU his research group extensively works on environmental nanotechnology for groundwater remediation and life-
cycle studies of nanomaterials. Speci cally, his Nanoenvirology Research Group (https://www.ndsu.edu/pubweb/nrg/)
works on plant-nanoparticle-microbe interactions at the molecular level and plant nutrient forti cation using
nanotechnology. His research has been funded by NSF, NIFA, and State of North Dakota. An active member of SNO since
its inception, Achintya is instrumental in promoting young professional activities including Nano Pitch and SNO student
organization. He is currently working on nanotechnology research and application promotion in North Dakota and his
native state of Assam in North-east India.
