He started his career as an officer with the London based MNC Williamson Magor Ltd and handled some challenging assignments. 

• 15 million kgs tea manufacturing factory at Nya Gogra Tea Estate, 
• 15 million kgs tea manufacturing factory at Tarajulie T.E.; 
• Sprinkler Irrigation system design execution, and operation in 35 tea estates;in Assam and Dooars and Darjeeling districts of West Bengal.
• Major River protection works on the Satrang River in Sonitpur District.
• Residential colonies for Company Staff at various group Tea Gardens.

After, having gained valuable corporate experience with the Williamson Magor group for long 10 years; took a big professional step in leaving a high paying job and venturing out towards entrepreneurship and self-employment in the construction sector.

He was elected as the President AREIDA (Assam Real Estate & Infrastructure Developer’s Association) which is the Promoter Developer’s Association of Assam in the year 2002 and has been repeatedly re-elected since then and held this esteemed position for the past twenty years.   

He has been a Governing Body Member of CREDAI(Confederation of Real Estate Developer Associations of India); since 2012.   

He represented Indian Industry in Sydney Australia led by the then DONER Minister Mani Shankar Iyer in the year 2008; as well as Bangkok in the year 2007. 

He represented Indian entrepreneurs in several international forums in various countries.

He was the founder Chairman of the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board which is a statutory body constituted under an Act of Parliament.

He has been named as the Director General of the proposed National Academy of Construction, where the H’onble Chief Minister Assam is the Chairman. 

He is a member of several other statutory bodies comprising of prominent experts as well as top bureaucrats and the political leaders.
