KULDEEP KAUSHIK

Kuldeep Kaushik graduated from the department of civil engineering, AEC in 2014 with 1st class (honors). Kuldeep then got an opportunity to pursue a research assistantship (RA) under the Visiting International Research Student (VIRS) scheme at University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, Canada for 3 months. He completed the RA and returned to India and worked in collaboration with AVESANA, an architecture firm in New Delhi as a technical apprentice in a ‘heritage building restoration’ project in Guwahati for a year.

Kuldeep then secured a funded masters (MASc.) program(structural engineering) at UBC Vancouver under Dr Thomas Tannert and Dr Carlos Ventura and incollaboration with the International Joint Research Laboratory of Earthquake Engineering (ILEE) andTongji University, he carried out his research on ‘feasibility of novel tall hybrid structures/systems’. During his masters, he worked as a graduate student researcher at University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) and as an engineering researcher at PBRVconsulting, an engineering firm in Vancouver specializing in Performance Based Seismic Design (PBSD).

Kuldeep completed his MASc. degree in Structures and Earthquake Engineering in 2017 and has been working in structural engineering industry as Engineer in Training(EIT) under EGBC in Vancouver. Currently, Kuldeep is working as a design engineer in Fast+Epp, an international structural consulting company, based in Vancouver, BC which specializes in mass timber, hybrid structures, towers, seismic resiliency, and sustainable design. Kuldeep is working currently towards his professional licensure in the province of British Columbia, Canada.
