Dr Sarma had his Civil Engineering qualifications, Bachelor to PhD, from Assam Engineering College and currently Dr Sarma is the Chief Engineer for 3 Grade-Separated-Intersection projects in Botswana, co-funded by OFID (Middle-East) and Govt of Botswana with monitoring consultant of Greece and Contracting entities of China Government.
Dr Sarma, operates internationally establishing professional entities in India, Botswana, and New Zealand, further, associated in bid-management with the entities of Belgium, USA, Korea, Luxemburg, China, etc.
Dr Sarma has been the Team Leader, Project Manager, and Expert, designated by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (USA), EuropeAid, World Bank, USAID, UNDP, Global Environment Facility, Norwegian NPRA and NORAD, AfDB, International corporate groups, Central and State Ministerial entities of Afro-Asian Region and had technical activities in more than 25 developing, advanced-developing, and developed countries in technical, asset management and development since 1985 for more than 300 projects internationally of value exceeding 5 billion US$.
He was also a R&D Guide, Professor, and Dean at Assam down town University (AdtU), India.Dr Sarma has undertaken various exchange programmes with national and international agencies, and so far, delivered more than 1200 lectures internationally, guiding Master Degree theses and undergraduate project works, and other routine academic activities.
Dr Sarma is a designated peer-reviewer of International Journal and Conference Proceedings of the technical societies of UK, USA, and Canada.Dr Sarma, a former Yoga-Ambassador of AdtU (India), is a designated Yoga Mentor and conducted sessions internationally at various social-forums of India, Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and New Zealand.
