Co-founder and Director of Zerund Manufacturing Pvt Ltd. Here we are manufacturing our flagship product by the brand name Zerund brick. It\’s our own patent pending product . Industrial production of this sophisticated building material started in the year 2018 in Guwahati, India.

ZERUND is providing eco-friendly, cost effective, crack /earthquake  resistant, light weight bricks made from waste plastic and other waste materials as ingredients.

ZERUND MANUFACTURING PVT LTD was established on 17th September 2018 by its co-founders Rupam Choudhury, Mousum Talukdar and David Pratim Gogoi. After graduating from Assam Engineering College, the three of them opted for entrepreneurship. Since all three were from the Civil Engineering background, they thought of bringing about an innovation in the building material sector using some waste material like plastic,fly ash etc. By that time, they had already won a competition named “IDEATION”, related to SDG(Sustainable Development Goals)conducted by UNDP. Hence, it was quite comfortable for them to work on “sustainable solutions for the environment”. They researched well and came up with a building material, known now as “ZERUND BRICK”. After getting the patent of the product, they started its commercial production and selling from November 2018. Initially, with the help of two angel investors,they raised their first seed funding.. After getting the initial round of funding, the company took a patch of land, along with some machineries at lease, in Azara, Guwahati. Right from the beginning, Zerund bricks are being manufactured at this plant.After doing production and sales for 1.5 years from the initial plant Zerund started to approach VCs for pre series funding .By that time zerund has already started generating revenue between 1 to 2 cr.After approaching some existing VCs in north east Indiafinally Zerund has raised undisclosed amount in the pre series round from NEDFI VENTURE CAPITAL LTD in dec2020.Now,Zerund is setting up a 5 times bigger manufacturing unit than the initial  at Pathsala Assam.As on January ,2022 the company stands with annual  projected revenues of more than 10 cr,35 people team(including workers)And is set to raise another 2 milion USD in this year.Company’s vision is to become the largest brick manufacturer in the world within 10 years.
